FAQ
Are my books and notes uploaded to the cloud?
No. Imported books, highlights, notes, and reading progress stay on your device by default. EasyReadAI does not upload them to developer servers for storage.
What data is sent when I use AI?
Only when you actively trigger AI: selected highlight text, book/chapter metadata when available, and your question. Consent is required before the first request. See our Privacy Policy.
Do I need an account?
Core reading, highlighting, and local notes work without sign-in. An account is only needed for platform AI credits or purchases.
Which file formats are supported?
In-app reading supports EPUB, TXT, RTF, and more. PDF support varies by platform — check your current app version.
Can I use it alongside Apple Books or other readers?
Yes. On iPad, use Split View to read in another app while capturing notes and asking AI in EasyReadAI.
How is EasyReadAI different from other AI readers?
We don’t read the book for you — we assist when you get stuck, preserving deep reading while adding AI explanation.
What happens to my data if I uninstall?
Local books and notes are removed with the app. Export notes (CSV, PNG, etc.) before uninstalling if you need to keep them.
